History of Microsoft Word
The first version of Microsoft Word was developed by Charles Simonyi and Richard Brodie, former Xerox programmers hired by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1981. Both programmers worked on Xerox Bravo, the first WYSIWYG word processor.

If you click the icon [Open] or [Save] on the toolbar of Microsoft Word, comes the dialog window. In the middle, you can browse the disk to determine the location of the file. On the right side there is a preview of the document will be opened, while on the left side there is a shortcut to the Desktop, My Documents, History, Favorites, and Web
